At the intersection of conservation and recreation. “Heavy, serious, solid earth. The earth that is worked upon, scratched, written upon.” (Derrida, “Force and Signification,” n23)

Yeah, here’s the quote: 'Seeing Greg in the spotlight is totally trippy,' the sister continued. 'Everybody's painting Greg out to be a hero or a Nazi. And I'm like, he's a freaking hero to me. He doesn't stop and it's for trying to do the right thing.’
Horton is smart but has this bad habit.

Base/core of ~700 people on 4 platforms over 19 years. If on FB alone I shared 1 unique journalist/photographer/creator per day for the past 16 years that’s almost 6K; if everyone I followed shared X people, and the Meta algorithms pushed Y times that easily, then:

A true abundance agenda should focus not only on increasing the supply of housing and jobs for middle-class Americans but also on increasing the supply of attractive young women for elderly wealthy men.

And here’s the other thread

"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Anyway here’s the one essay
For folks who remember the concept of "selling out", I wrote this a few years ago so you can explain it to younger people who are not familiar with what the idea meant within culture. www.anildash.com/2023/04/18/w... It's hard to explain why someone would not license their song for a commercial.

I’ve got nothing to sell but my labor and it’s an odd skillset being fluid on a U17 and also widely-read with a love for using captions and end notes in planning docs to embed ideological critique in the public record.
