Sigh. Multiple sources report that it was a closed trail. If you can read a topo map, you can see that this shortcut is a fall line alignment, marked as closed for good reason. Land managers close these kinds of shortcuts all the time bc of severe erosion and they need enforcement mechanisms. LNT.
