I made a video about the underestimated role that wealthy US neighborhoods (who block housing and community integration) play in gentrification. I have to admit, I never expected some one could underestimate it, in the most insane way possible.
Just finished Urban Fortunes, the book by growth machine theorists Logan and Molotch. You’ve gotta read this excerpt to believe it – I don’t know know how to do it justice. They somehow manage to recommend NIMBYism, inclusionary zoning, and gentrification, all in one, leftistly.
