Pride is a celebration. Pride is also a powerful statement about courage, community, and determination.

We honor the trailblazers who came before us, join arms with those leading the fight for equality today, and empower the next generation to live boldly, freely, and with joy.

Having now watched the footage and interview two of the members who were there, the amount of armed, masked federal agents surrounding three members of Congress and a mayor outside the ICE facility was totally unnecessary; the only possible reason for it was intentional escalation and intimidation.

Astonishing.
Marie Curie's notebooks are radioactive and must be stored in a lead-lined box in the Bibliothèque Nationale. Curie’s corpse is also radioactive. Her coffin is lined in an inch of lead. Both will remain radioactive for 1,500+ years.

No matter what this Administration tells the American people, the law is very clear: Members of Congress have a legal right to enter any DHS detention facility to conduct oversight without prior notice - something I’ve done twice this year without issue.

When the DSM-5 is a better guide to our government than the Constitution is.
NEW @motherjones.com: Musk went on an unhinged X tirade today, claiming trans people are to blame for the Tesla protests & boosting dubious data claiming they're more violent than cis people.

It's part of a well-worn transphobic playbook & unsupported by evidence

Tesla's in trouble. Elon blames...trans people?
Musk and his acolytes blame the massive protests on transgender people's supposed penchant for violence.

In honor of Women's History Month and before this gets erased, here is General Ann E. Dunwoody, the first woman to reach a 4-star rank in the US armed forces in 2008.
Only 9 others have followed her and as of quite recently there are no women serving with 4 stars.

When democracy is eroded, it is rarely announced with a single, dramatic act. It slips away piece by piece, as institutions weaken, human rights are undermined, and fear is used to justify control. No nation is immune from authoritarianism. theconversation.com/the-far-righ...
The far-right is rising at a crucial time in Germany, boosted by Elon Musk
Elon Musk is by no means the cause of the AfD’s popularity, but his embrace of the extremist party has given it a global profile and new credibility in German politics.
