A question for fearless journos out there to put to Australia's political leaders. Why do we have > $300 billion to attempt to buy submarines but not enough $ to pay more fire fighters & support staff & to buy more urgently needed firefighting equipment, so we have sufficient resources when needed?!

The weirdest thing about Americans is how many of them think their laws apply to every person in the world.
But they're certain other countries' laws don't apply to them.

How in the goddamn flying fuck do we live in a country where the murders of 15 people from one racial/religious group ONCE requires both a Royal Commission AND the deployment of the army but the murders of 80 women EVERY YEAR since time immemorial fucking doesn’t??

Australia is making progress—but we must accelerate our transition to clean energy.

We need urgent action:
✅ Stronger targets for transport, agriculture and aviation
✅ A Sustainable Aviation Fuel mandate
✅ Accurate monitoring of methane

Did you know that when you send a postal vote application to a political party, it can (and does) harvest your personal data, store it, and sell it on to third parties?

It’s illegal in Victoria - but fine at a federal level.
Voters warned to be wary of unsolicited postal vote application texts
Australia's electoral commissioner has urged voters to "carefully consider" who they give their personal information to as the election campaign gets underway.

We don’t have a gas shortage, we have a gas export problem. Santos are gaming the system and pushing up the price of gas paid by 🇦🇺 households & industry.

We don’t need new projects, we need to reserve uncontracted export gas for 🇦🇺 now!

This is how broken our lobbying laws are.

Every resources minister since 2001 went on to work for fossil fuel companies & 8 ex-ministers & senior advisers now lobby for gambling💰

It's time for complete reform of lobbying rules + independent watchdog.
