DO NOT UPDATE to iPadOS 17.7.7 - it resets most of your apps (so everything wants to register/sign in new again) and turns off Locked Private Browsing and other persistent preferences. And no changes stick, so everything is all “new phone, who dis?” all the time…

Does it do more harm to leave an abandoned shop in a town square, so that it might still look like a decent place to be? Or do they need to actually *see* a ghost town full of demolished buildings and boarded-up properties? I'm not sure the old place deserves even the appearance of legitimacy.

I haven’t actually used Twitter for a couple of years now (due to its incredible shittiness) but I don’t like losing touch with people, hence this account here as I guess it’s probably where a good number of people will try next.

It’s hard not to comment on the complete implosion of Twitter, but I suppose it serves as a good way to explain why I have yet another social media account now. (Honourable mention to Mastodon also, that’s quite alright too.)
