Fun subtitling “fails” like these are almost always not actually a mistake by the channel, but, less excitingly, usually in the home TV or set top box that creates a unique, one-in-a million error just on one person’s screen… which social media effortlessly lets millions of others enjoy too.

There really is a certain something about the early days of 1980s satellite TV - when you needed to have a two metre satellite dish in your garden, or were lucky enough to live in a cabled area. (Video excerpted from "UK Lifestyle TV Channel, End Of Day", a longer YouTube upload by Sid N)

Does it do more harm to leave an abandoned shop in a town square, so that it might still look like a decent place to be? Or do they need to actually *see* a ghost town full of demolished buildings and boarded-up properties? I'm not sure the old place deserves even the appearance of legitimacy.
