I tell students they are growing up during the death throes of the Archie Bunker era, a long period of reactionary backlash to the end of Jim Crow. You can see it in these survey data and the ages of who sits in Congress. Older folks (like me) are fighting the same battles they grew up with.

here's Trump saying in 2019 he hasn't spoken with Epstein in "fifteen years".

with today's email release, we know this is not true.

(bonus, Trump mentions Secretary Acosta)

The U.S. is on track for another record year for clean electricity in 2025: 59 GW additions, which is 92% of new builds. Solar leads again, and storage nearly doubles. The grid is changing fast.

Arguing against extending ACA funds, GOP senators are circulating charts showing insurer profits rising since the enhanced subsidy began.

Bernie @sanders.senate.gov appears fascinated to learn that they consider this a problem, saying they should then cosponsor his Medicare For All bill.

In a rare move, one of the monopoly electric utilities operating in Oregon is asking state regulators for permission to lower residential customer rates in 2026. The reduction, though small at less than 1%, is the result of Idaho Power’s break with coal: oregoncapitalchronicle.com/2025/11/04/a...
An Oregon utility’s break with coal brings customer savings • Oregon Capital Chronicle
While the Trump administration pursues a coal revival, a utility in Oregon is saving money by giving up on the fossil fuel.

In the battle between "Partisan polarization means presidential approval is now locked into a narrow range" vs. "Nah"...no winner yet, but it's been a good week for Team How Low Can He Go.
Trump's average disapproval rating has hit 56% in our tracker at fiftyplusone.news. He is now just a point off his (then historically low) net approval rating at this point in 2017, and nearly meeting the high point of Joe Biden's disapproval rating in 2022/late 2024 (57.3%).

I've been following this threat of legal action, and I like AG Mayes. She says "times up", but in the whole interview does not say anything specific that will be done.

We'll have to wait to see.

PS, she did use the phrase: "taxation without representation" (!)

Time is up. I gave Speaker Mike Johnson two days to swear in Adelita Grijalva. Arizona's 7th congressional district 813,000 Arizonans are now being taxed without representation. I have lawyers downstairs right now drafting litigation.

Part of the utility for huge protests like No Kings is that they undermine the fundamental basis of Trump's power, which is elite consent. If universities, private companies, government officials, etc. think they could get caught up by a popular backlash they're less likely to comply w/ the regime.

Again, it is a full-blown federal felony crime for anyone in the White House or Executive Office of the President to order tax investigations into anyone.

And it's not just a crime to DO it, it's even a federal crime for an employee not to REPORT such an order to the Treasury Inspector General.

per Arizona Sec of State

"Election officials ... have until October 09, 2025 to canvass the results. The Secretary of State will canvass all results by October 14, 2025."

as soon as tomorrow morning Rep #Grijalva can demand to be seated in US House.
