i have worked with people who think like this. they do get certain things done. but they have no ability to use their brain at all. they cannot think about anything. they believe everything they read. they make terrible decisions. they can't solve any problems. their failure is inevitable.
If you have zero education, but learn how to ask AI models the right questions , in many jobs you will be able to outperform someone with an advanced degree, but who is unwilling to use Large Language Models.

Just takes a smartphone, curiosity to experiment and a mindset to learn.

NEW from me at WIRED: inside the White House’s—jk jk, WIRED asked *me* to write about Captain America. 🙂

On the complicated fandom picture around Brave New World, the MCU’s 35th title in 17 years. Franchise fatigue, fandom’s longtime racist sidelining of Sam Wilson, the BDS boycott, and much more:

Spurned fanfic shippers, political protests, and a Black superhero long sidelined by fans and Marvel alike: What the release of “Captain America: Brave New World” says about the MCU in 2025.

Amen to that.
I think it would make a big difference in our health if we banned Pharma ads from America like the rest of the world does.

Just an incredible project. Thank you to everyone involved
How to Access the EOT Web Archives

I wrote about a recent shift in paranoid thrillers on TV, which have moved away from the disillusioned white everyman who's often a cog in the machine to those who are often ground up by the gears

Leopards Eating Faces & FAFO may be cathartic, but I'd bet that most Trump voters have no regrets. Millions are thrilled at the speed of this takeover.

We'll move on from leopards and FAFO as things get materially worse. It won't be about whose fault it was. It'll be about helping folks to survive.

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.

White liberals and centrists need to stop using the economy as a figleaf for Trump voters' choices.
Your problem is that you cannot understand or do not want to understand that that their vote was about hate. That man gives them the license to hate the "other" of their choice
The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.

We hammered this time and time again and yet.

Here’s the thing about fascism: it’s actually a spiritual project. That’s why when you say “migration is great for the economy”, fascists don’t care. They think “well, the idea of racial purity is more appealing to my soul than a strong economy, so screw the economy”. That was Hitler’s argument.
Important always to remember that the people spearheading the hatred of “mass immigration” think that the ideal number of non-white immigrants in the country is zero.

what rightly frustrates people, myself included, are these descriptive posts. we already know what’s going on. what are you going to *do* about it.

call for hearings. call for impeachment. withhold your vote. promise complete obstruction.

anything!
The reckless funding freeze by the Trump administration jeopardizes everything from community health centers to cancer research to child care to critical infrastructure projects. It is an unconstitutional power grab that puts lives and livelihoods at risk.
