If the media and politicians continually discriminate against Muslims, people of colour and women, why are we surprised that some police officers wont be influenced by that? A former PM once likened Muslim women to bank robbers, and we have heard the worst language about migrants since Enoch Powell.

London is also diverse. It's hugely multicultural, and it's a largely tolerant and welcoming place.

Sure it has it's problems and the housing crisis is a big one.

But the haters don't hate this city because of that.

They hate it because it stands as living proof that multiculturalism works.

There were 93 homicides in London last year: population 9 million

In New York - population 8.5 million - there were
391.

London's homicide figure is 6 times lower than LA, 9 times lower than Miami, 17 times lower than Chicago.

And it's falling year on year despite the population increasing

Look world. This is the face of the US under the man waging a war on his cities, on thousands of innocent, hard-working immigrants, a foreign nation with oil he wants and demanding billions from the BBC over a small error. He is the ugly American. This pastor is a true patriot.

Broadcasters who repeated this obvious bollocks are not required to make any correction or apologise to their listeners/viewers. And I saw at least two columnists making hay with it. They too will retract nothing.
The @Telegraph, @thetimes, @MailOnline & @TheSun publish corrections to their scaremongering on undocumented migrants in London.

Imagine between them the reach & power of these papers.
The fact is they are using that power to instil Trumpist hate & we are ill-equipped to resist.

Within the envelope of being a republican who no royals of any sort, I must still say:

Well done, Prince Harry! You have more courage than the rest of them put together.

And well done Tom Watson, who did likewise without the safety net of privilege.

They both performed a public service. 👏🏽

So, according to MAGA, being a sexual abusing, pathologically lying, violence inciting felonious traitor who attacks trans people and promises to deport tens of millions immigrants is “good”, but being a pastor who asks for compassion for those same people is “bad”.

Do I have that just about right?

Just reminded - this is Sir Will Lewis, accused of deleting evidence despite a criminal investigation, currently heading up Bezos’ Washington Post, who was knighted by Boris Johnson after advising him how to deal with requests for evidence over the Coronavirus crisis
Former senior Met officer Sue Akers will give evidence that News Group dealt with the Met’s investigation in a “deeply concerning way” and “failed to tell the truth” – naming Will Lewis as among those responsible
