So much of this govt's strike messaging is 'these selfish ingrates are paid well & don't have the moral right to strike' which is so far beyond believable reality that it's just a weird choice. If they just said 'no money left soz', they'd get more public sympathy than for this Evil Mr Burns stuff.

Small consolation given how bad everything is, but it gives me some solace to know that not only will Luxon be remembered as the worst PM in living memory, but Willis will also be remembered as the worst finance minister.

I am not sure what kind of mainstream release the Don McGlashan film will get, but if you didn’t see it at the film festival last night, try to find an opportunity to see it elsewhere. It’s marvellous.
