As a lender, this does not strike me as a good idea and sounds more like science rooted in eugenics (and consequently unlikely to be accurate or real). There are some interesting books on this topic but the general gists make me thing this is nothing more than pseudoscience.

Great, and now metro is changing the ‘ding’ for stop requested to a slow playing loud “Stop Requested” announcements.

Literally fine for decades but let’s make the bus a less pleasant environment eh @kingcounty.gov?

Shit like this is redic. If the Orca reader is broken that’s on you my friends, fucking fix your machine and take your lumps.
Currently the ORCA card readers are unavailable to tap on for T Line service. While ORCA readers are unavailable, passengers are still required to have valid proof of paid fare.

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Just waiting 20 minutes for a train midday on a weekday when it comes "every 8 minutes".

Maybe someday I guess I will go to the airport.

I've mostly been biking lately but sometimes taking the train is nice for relaxing.

Shepherding this project turned into close to a full time job for @stumptoemerald.bsky.social for a few years there but it is finally almost at the finish line.
I did my first ride on the new Beacon Hill bike lanes and dang what an improvement.

This should be seen as evidence of the crisis: federal judges fear that Trump will order U.S. Marshals to stand down on securing the safety of judges whose decision they don’t like. This is just devastating.

Just spent 15 hours automating a task that takes me like 5 minutes a week.

In just 3.5 years I will be saving time (assuming I made it perfect and nothing ever changes requiring me to fix it) 😅

I love my bicycle. Sure I live in the US so it seems like everyone driving wants to shank me but it's so much fun, I get around so quickly, and I have pleasant interactions all the time too in minor ways.

Head nods, yelling good morning, waiving, fake racing random kids, talking at lights, etc

I need a robot that goes and finds my Roomba and brings it back to the charger everyday instead of me playing "find the vacuum" every day.

The procedure for Bribes and Corruption does indeed say the briber must notify the bribee in writing that "this is a bribe" or to "do the corruption now" or it doesn't count.

Doesn't anyone check the procedures anymore? 🙄

I am waffling between feeling sad and mad. Up to 3/4s thrown out, killed and tossed back? Ick. Just a big loss of life for no reason.

there's about six full minutes of audio from Rep. Menendez (D-NJ) giving a crystal clear, ultra-precise accounting of what happened, and it sure doesn't even sound like Mayor Baraka was "protesting." he was just there. what the Congressman describes is much darker than "arrested while protesting."
This phone interview contains a detailed description of the wildest fucking shit I've ever heard on television news, hands down

"We need to hear from all voices.

Specifically, my voice.

More specifically, my own voice when it could financially benefit me."
"We are just trying to find a way to make sure that ALL voices are heard," Moore continues, concluding by going back to the claim that voters will be disenfranchised if their district councilmembers have to recuse themselves because of financial conflicts of interest.

Whatever impostor syndrome you may have once had, dispose of it fucking immediately. If these people run the country, you deserve that promotion, you can run for city council, you can start that business. If this is the baseline, shit, you can do surgery drunk in an alley and you will do less harm.
The entire administration is going to be staffed by Fox News hosts

Oh I guess corruption and fraud is good actually.
Moore says her intent was to make sure no councilmembers (and thereby their constituents) are "disenfranchised" by requiring councilmembers to recuse themselves when they have financial conflicts of interest. People in the room are loudly scoffing.
