Labour must accept its mistake, drop its appeal and stop wasting taxpayers' money on suppressing civil liberties.

Trump Turmoil.

Trump's flip-flop shows he hasn't thought through anything.

Now he exempts smartphones and computers from new tariffs as tech giants are not happy.

What will he initiate or abandon next?

‘Why, in one of the ten richest countries in the world, do we feel so poor. Where did the money go?’

The answer is easy: it went to the rich.

But that is only the beginning of the issue. How did it happen, and what do we want to do about it?"
Taxing wealth is better than a wealth tax
Inequality of wealth matters more than inequality of income. We should tax the rich more. But a blanket wealth tax is not the solution.

Price of electricity determined by the most expensive input i.e. gas.

Electricity from wind, solar, nuclear, biomass, hydro cheaper but price determined by cost of gas.

This comes after a week of speculation, itself an act of cruelty by a government toying with people’s dignity.
