Is there anyone who actually gives a shit what “the color of the year” is?
Pantone’s 2026 color of the year is technically not a color at all — meet Cloud Dancer, the first-ever white shade to receive the designation from the world’s color authority.
Pantone makes a surprising choice for its 2026 color of the year
We did not see that coming.

One more Welles film to go before I complete the set. If this can even truly be counted among his filmography. #FilmSky #MovieSky #Letterboxd

Watching this made me think of the TV show Chopped. If you're not familiar, it's a cooking reality competition show, where four chefs compete over three courses, forced to make dishes with four myster...

If your reaction to FIFA giving the failed steak salesman-in-chief a sham humanitarian award is horror, you clearly don't know anything about FIFA. This is one turd respecting another, nothing more.

And how many of your movies "ripped off" elements from other movies, Quentin? Oh, right, you don't rip off, borrow, or steal, you "do an homage". Shut the fuck up, you pretentious jackass.

"Everyone borrows from everyone," the actor behind Peeta Mellark said.

Someone’s never heard “I'm Gonna E-Mail Santa” by Billy Gilman.
I put it to you that Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” is not merely the worst Christmas song but is also in fact the worst song in the history of recorded sound.

As a member of Gen-X, agreed. We don't care.

Also, generations are bullshit.
The true Gen X reaction to being lauded as the "greatest generation" would be to narrow its eyes suspiciously and mutter "whatever" when asked about it

Is Gen X Actually the Greatest Generation?

At best, a generation could realistically be no more than 4 years or so. They at least have lived through similar experiences in time and culture. A person born in 1961 and 1980 have nothing whatsoever in common for life experience. But really, the whole notion of generations is dumb marketing BS.
Generations are fake.
They really went and slapped a "born between 1965 and 1980" banner on top of Douglas Coupland, b. 1961, explaining how he wrote his book defining his generation

TIL that the governor of New Mexico at the time of Billy The Kid’s death was also the author of the novel that would be adapted into the movie Ben-Hur.

Ghostbusters thought.

Under what authority did the mayor have to kick out Peck? The Ghostbusters were arrested under federal charges. He has no jurisdiction to void the charges, let alone free them from jail.

When I wrote for a wrestling website, I made two friends through it who told me my writing inspired them to write.

I also got an email from a soldier on a military base who told me my columns gave him something enjoyable on overnight shifts.
