Just a reminder that 40 odd years ago The Age ran a campaign against building the city loop (incidentally the last time the city did anything terribly significant with rail) because it was too expensive and pointless.

The fog war is thick, but for all the talking points claiming “there was no other option” or that this is some brilliant play at forcing Iran to make a “deal” to prevent it from possessing nuclear weapons, never forget there WAS such a deal - it was unilaterally abandoned by Trump in 2018... (1/2)
