Congressional Republicans are refusing to extend the expiring Affordable Care Act tax credits.

@americanprogress.bsky.social estimates that Wisconsinites’ healthcare premiums will increase by 148% on average if they expire.

Today, Wisconsin legislators helped me get that message out there!

Taking away funding for local television and radio stations will jeopardize critical emergency alert services. I had an amendment to stop these dangerous cuts. Republicans blocked it.

I can’t believe I have to say this but shutting down the Department of Education is a bad idea. Wisconsin teachers, parents, and kids are going to pay the price for this. apnews.com/article/trum...
How Trump plans to dismantle the Education Department after Supreme Court ruling
Education Secretary Linda McMahon is expected to move quickly now that the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the Trump administration to continue unwinding her department.

BREAKING: SCOWIS today, in a lawsuit I brought against the Legislature years ago, decided that a handful of Republican lawmakers cannot single-handedly and indefinitely obstruct our state agencies from doing the people’s work. A victory for Wisconsinites.

Donald Trump just bombed Iran without any authorization from Congress.

Congress must immediately pass Rep. Massie's War Powers Resolution to block Trump from dragging the US into an unconstitutional war in the Middle East.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

We celebrate Juneteenth to honor the end of slavery and commit to the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

I can think of no good reason why this administration would want to take away resources to find lifesaving cancer and Alzheimer's cures.

Turns out, their reason is not good at all: to pay for tax cuts for corporations.

POCAN: You said the president supports the big bill passed out the House. You also said the president doesn't support cutting Medicare.

VOUGHT: Correct

POCAN: In the bill, there's a $500b cut that gets triggered to Medicare. You might want to take a look at that provision.

Republicans are running scared, passing things in the middle of the night by razor thin margins.

Their Bonanza for Billionaires goes to the senate next, with wide disagreements and different procedural rules.

This battle is not yet lost. Keep your voices loud and proud.

Bad, bad news.

Clearly, this isn’t about efficiency or saving money. It’s about giving tax cuts to billionaires and big corporations at the expense of our kids, families, seniors, and veterans by cutting critical programs like Medicaid.

The difference here: A win by Taylor over odious conservative incumbent Rebecca Bradley would FLIP this seat and give us a 5-2 majority.

This is great news, but we could be doing even more to bolster Wisconsin’s workforce.

My budget would have restored collective bargaining rights and prevailing wage protections, repealed right to work, and bolstered protections for workers. Instead, Republicans gutted it.
