Donald Trump is trying to con Americans into believing that immigrants are the greatest threat to our democracy in order to hide the the fact that Donald Trump and his corruption is the greatest threat to our democracy.

8.4 GIGAWATTS of offshore wind just contracted in the UK, thanks to Ed Miliband's recent auction - enough electricity to power 12 million homes.

People try to ascribe motives, strategy and logic to Trump but it's not acknowledged nearly enough that he's simply a spectacularly stupid man who happens to be extremely rich and entitled with it and therefore has gained a lot of power.

He's a very clear example of the Dunning Kruger effect.
Q: The premier of Greenland said today, 'We prefer to stay with Denmark.'

TRUMP: Who said that?

Q: The premier of Greenland

TRUMP: Well, that's their problem. I disagree with him. I don't know who he is. Don't know anything about him. But that's gonna be a big problem for him.

The First Amendment protects the public’s right to:

1. Film ICE in public

2. Photograph ICE in public

3. Observe what ICE does in public

ICE and DHS officials cannot lay a finger on any American who is peacefully exercising First Amendment rights.

32 people died in ICE custody last year — the agency’s deadliest year in over two decades.

Meanwhile, private prison corporations that are building and overseeing ICE detention centers are raking it in.

Cashing in on cruelty.

I fear we are losing our ability to be outraged by Trump's incessant corruption - the latest being his threat to throw Jay Powell in jail unless he adopts Trump's interest rate policy.

Trump doesn't stop trying to be an autocrat. And we shouldn't stop being outraged by it.

I can’t emphasize enough how shocked my out of state friends and family are when I tell them what has happened in Minneapolis since Renee Good’s murder.

Without reliable media, most not-chronically-online people are completely in the dark. If you want to help Minnesota, tell people what you know.

Sending jack-booted thugs to invade American cities.

Unilaterally launching wars and plundering foreign nations.

Suspending funding for states that voted against him.

Trump is the "big government" nightmare Republicans have always warned us about.

And yet they're silent.

Make this go viral.

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

The British public have found an acceptable alternative to X and its Bluesky.

Why won't the govt and the BBC use it too?

Im watching politics live at the moment & they encourage social media interaction but only FB or X - why?

There are now at least 365 UK MPs with accounts on Bluesky – more than half (56%) of all MPs

🔴 This includes nearly 70% of Labour MPs
🔶 Nearly 90% of Lib Dem MPs
🟢 All the 4 Green MPs

🔵 But only 5% of Conservative MPs
➡️ No Reform MPs
More MPs are coming off X and I assume that means they will be posting more on here

@politicshome.bsky.social has a handy list of all the MPs on Bluesky

Please point out anyone who is missing!
