This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

Brad Pitt was an absolutely ASS choice to play Louis, tho.
The thing is that Tom Cruise genuinely wasn't the worst possible guy to play Lestat and his energy as the most annoying man ever does carry over well to Lestat (and, unfortunately, I do find him to be very pretty in IWTV film)

There's this little old ✋🏻lady at my job who has never said "hi" to me in the morning and ignores me whenever I'm in a room even if I'm next to someone she greets and so I have, despite how I was raised to greet people, decided to meet her in kind. Because that's just weird and rude of her lol

"book negging" is what I'm going to call the thing people do where instead of marketing a book they like or even wrote on its own merits, they shit on something else (or its readerbase) to try and convince people to read their thing instead

There's a lot of reviewer vs author discourse bcuz of IG and one thing I won't ever understand is tagging authors in NEGATIVE reviews. I used to tag authors in positive reviews but even at my most smug, I never tagged them in negative reviews because... what are they gonna do post-publication lol
