Quite the ruling from a NY federal judge today, who initiated contempt proceedings against ICE after finding that it flouted court orders, gave false evidence to the court and held an immigrant in “chillingly brutal” conditions.

Palin was far less cheerful leaving court on Tuesday following the verdict than earlier in the trial, and did not comment directly on the outcome. She said she looked forward to returning to her kids and grandchildren back home in Alaska, and planned to "get on with life."

NEW: Judge Dale Ho today declined to grant NYC mayor Eric Adams and DOJ a quick win on the feds’ motion to toss his corruption case. Ho tapped ex-solicitor general Paul Clement to make arguments in the case about the standard for dismissal here, given that the motion is unopposed by the parties.

NEW: SDNY judge Jeannette Vargas today extended a temporary restraining order blocking Elon Musk et al from accessing Treasury Dept. payment systems. The ruling came down after oral arguments over whether she should issue a preliminary injunction. A decision on that is coming soon, but not today.
