Jury finds New York Times NOT LIABLE for Sarah Palin's defamation claims.

The jury deliberated for just under two hours before returning the verdict.

Palin was far less cheerful leaving court on Tuesday following the verdict than earlier in the trial, and did not comment directly on the outcome. She said she looked forward to returning to her kids and grandchildren back home in Alaska, and planned to "get on with life."

Btw, the NRA trial is being held in the same courtroom as the recent Donald Trump trial over the NYAG's civil fraud claims. Still waiting on a decision in that case.

The AG says LaPierre and his fellow execs concealed their improper spending using false tax filings and by funneling the expenses through phony vendor contracts with Ackerman.

North says LaPierre had implored him to take the job.

"Wayne LaPierre said he would take care of it," North says. "That being the contract with Ackerman and the position of president of the NRA."

So he says LaPierre worked out a side deal where he would be hired by advertising firm and NRA vendor Ackerman McQueen for around $2 million a year.

North had a very weird deal with respect to his term as president of the NRA, which wasn't a paid position. North worked for Fox News at the time, a position he would have to resign from if he became NRA president.
