Carol Moseley Braun was the first Black woman elected to the Senate in 1993. Jesse Helms once followed her into the Senate elevator singing "Dixie." He told fellow Senator Orrin Hatch, "I'm going to sing Dixie until she cries."

Real wages are growing. Job creation remains robust. Household wealth is up (including for the middle and the bottom). Overall economic growth is up. Inflation is down.

Those are facts.
The rebound in real (inflation-adjusted) wage growth is really notable. For much of 2021/2022, wages weren't keeping up with inflation. But this year, as inflation has cooled and the job market has remained strong, pay has again been rising faster than prices.
