🚨 This week’s UN Financing for Development Forum in Seville is a critical moment.

Our global financial system is built to concentrate wealth, reward pollution, and fuel inequality.

Leaders must decide whether to rewrite the economic rules.

It's time to #TaxTheirBillions 💰⬇

Venus and Saturn are making a lovely pair in the western sky tonight.
JUpiter is high above the familar shape of Orion the Hunter and Mars is over in the south east near the twins.
The Moon looks lovely as it rises also.
Enjoy 😃 ⭐

Hi LA County friends, just got a heads up through the wires and don't have a place to write it up so I'll put it here instead - the city of Rosemead is providing free N95s and KN95s to the public which can be picked up at the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce on Muscatel Ave between 12-4pm today...

So, warm spaces run by decent people are being offered so vulnerable people do not freeze to death in their own homes.
Warm spaces… I mean how morally bankrupt are energy firms and the government? How inhumane do both have to get before someone says: NO MORE GREED.

I cannot stand silently by as the GMC fails patients in the PA debacle.

Its entire point is to keep patients safe from harm - but it’s failing dismally.

My piece on why the GMC is no longer fit for purpose👇

Can I be very honest? Our little non-profit relies on merchandise sales to power our work fighting for the NHS. This year because Twitter imploded, we have had fewer orders and I’m very worried. If you need beautiful Christmas cards, a lovely pen or stocking, please could you support EveryDoctor?💙..

If it takes 10 years to rejoin the EU, then if we start today, we'll be back in 10 years. But if we wait a decade, it will take 20 years.

Except that it won't, because we will have had 10 more years of diverging. So it might take a quarter of a century.

Start today please. We owe it to the future.

Do read this. It'll be one of those articles that stays with you for a very long time. Hopefully forever.
I've written about what dying typically looks like - not as a 'pro' or 'anti' AD piece, but in the spirit of confronting a taboo.

We've lost the easy familiarity with the patterns of dying that existed when death typically occurred in people’s own homes.

Let's talk about it 🙏

70% of UK hospices are in deficit.

The work they do is so precious - yet they’re cutting jobs, beds and home care.

Do we care?
