The guy just said, “Egypt for the Egyptians!”

No, I screwed up. I cry your pardon.
Ceasar and Cleopatra, starring the very British Claude Rains and Miss Vivien Leigh, is airing on TCM at this very moment. Are you voluntarily choosing to watch Cleopatra, the bloated 1964 debacle starring Dame Elizabeth Taylor, via streaming instead? If so, you, sir, are a masochist! (No judgment.)

It’s the same old same old. Republicans do a tantrum and break the dishes. The Democrats clean it up. It’s an abusive relationship.

Totally.
It felt so good to have hope for... 5 minutes

Oh wait. I f*cked up. This ain’t the Liz Taylor version. Claude Rains is playing Caesar, and most of the Romans look like a Spinal Tap tribute band.

I’m watching CLEOPATRA on TCM. All the Romans and Egyptians seem to have British accents.waiting for Liz, to find out if she sounds Americano.

I’m bummed.
Gutted by the Dems caving after the blue-wave wins of last week? Sick & tired of us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? I hear you! Might I suggest you calm yourself, relax, take a deep, cleansing breath... then see if this photo of 2 pandas cuddling is of any help.

Episode 3 of WELCOME TO DERRY ratchets up the horror. As Nigel Tufnel would say, "This one goes to eleven."

He was just mad because someone else was getting the attention due to him.
The Sociopath-In-Chief couldn't be bothered to even turn his head in the direction of a man in the midst of a medical emergency who collapsed in his office. Completely incapable of empathy, the EPSTEIN Files can't be released soon enough.

Airports should hire stand up comedians to work at TSA lines:
“Hey, buddy, cargo pants are now considered a carry-on item.
I’m kidding.
I’ll be here all week.
The way this line is moving, so will you.”

Harry Truman: If it benefits all the people, they call it socialism.

All the pearl-clutching about Zohran Mamdani--by right-wingers who elected a half-senile old TV star president--is very amusing. For once the shoe is on the other foot.

Does anybody besides me remember Bud Levitt, who used to write about wildlife and hunting in the Bangor Daily News?

I know he's my kid, so take it with a grain of salt if you wanna, but KING SORROW is one of the best terror tomes I've ever read. It's the GONE WITH THE WIND of horror! 🎃

She's talkin' about KING SORROW.
This is (sorry Mr. King) the BEST book I have ever read. I'm going to start it over as soon as I'm done!

Haven’t looked at the part titles that closely yet, but I’m halfway through and this might be my favorite book of all time

Mark Z. Danielewski's novel, TOM'S CROSSING, is published today. Set in the Utah mountains, it's a chase story...and as close to the Great American Novel as you're ever going to get.

If you've bought Joe Hill's wonderful and immersive novel KING SORROW, you might look at the part titles. They have something in common.
