Hi followers! Give me a heads up if your affiliated with any of the Facebook sci/fi and fantasy book groups. Nice to see you here! I still pop over to FB, but only on my PC, so not often. Usually I'm here blabbing about books, podcasts, and whatever I watch on screen.
Plumed whistling duck. On the lawn this AM. So handsome.

I really like this idea. Colorado?

I've always wondered how calls for the creative work of indigenous authors handle Europeans. I haven't noticed really specific calls for non-European or non-white indigenous people. Do Europeans with DNA that goes back 10,000 years submit to these calls, figuring, 'yeah that's me'.

My caps too small
And my hairs too white
This collars tight
But my cross is loose
I got the Vat..
The Vatican blues
If you ask any girl from the parish around,
What pleases her most from her head to her toes;
She'll say, "I'm not sure that it's business of yours,
But I do like to waltz with a log driver.”

Lessons and hope from history. 👇
Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Wow, here's another one. Spot on. I really am in the appropriate bubble.
Can’t believe the whole country has to suffer through the return of Dickensian childhood diseases because the worst, most ignorant attention-demanders decided other people’s expertise makes them feel bad

Here's another opinion that mirrors my own thoughts.
My most woke opinion is that the whole point of society is to collectively help each other. My taxes should be going towards housing and feeding everyone. No one should be without food or shelter. Rich people should be contributing more towards this. It shouldn't even be controversial!

Welcome to my life..
One day I'll learn to proofread my posts and see what bullshit autocorrect has managed to fuck up. Today is not that day. Thus, I need you to trust that I am actually literate and just overlook the bizarre spelling

Here's an interesting grasssroots idea for #Colorado, recognize working caregivers as a protected class, require workplaces to allow flexible schedules and work at home options, and allow Medicare to support at home caregiving.

Doctor says to patient: "Keep picking at the tumor so it looks fresh. Your insurance may refuse to cover biopsy of a long standing lesion".

If you pick at the tumor it becomes much more difficult to diagnose. Clearly what needs to be picked away in this situation is the crap insurance.

A highly eccentric, newly penniless, science fiction writer is forced by his terrifying mother to take a job at a mysterious company. His job? Train an AI to write science fiction...or so it first appears.

Hilarious, clever, and very well written. Comes out in January. #scifi #review #booksky

Can we just abolish the senate already? They clearly don't represent their constituents and throw too much power to sparsely populated regions.

This is exactly what "the man" so deeply feared. Cheap, diffuse and democrtised power generation.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity
Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Here's another one trying to help regular people, and after all she's been through still at it.
We're suing the U.S. Department of Education for weaponizing the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

This administration is trying to illegally cut off loan forgiveness eligibility for organizations and governments based off ideals it doesn't agree with.

I'm fighting back.
