Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

This would be a war crime even if there were an actual war and these people were actual combatants, which there isn't and they weren't.

It's unquestionably an unlawful homicide under any form of law you wish to apply: military or civilian, domestic or international, federal or state. ...
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

The GOP called protestors "terrorists" and "Marxists" and that didn't stop retired moderates in small towns from coming out today dressed in frog costumes because they're tired of this obvious bullshit.

Two million more than in June. Seven million total.

The GOP should be very worried.

Since its founding, the UN’s world hunger monitoring group has confirmed only 4 official famines: Somalia 2011, South Sudan 2017, Sudan 2024, and Gaza City now. Entirely caused by Israel’s use of famine as a weapon of war. As a Jewish survivor of war myself, I’m ashamed of a country I once loved.

Dear Donald:
When a bully takes a toy from an another child on the playground, the principal shouldn't call both kids in the office and settle it by giving the toy to the bully to keep the peace. Because you know why? Rewarding the bully will only encourage him to take more toys.

That’s it.

That’s the whole ballgame summed up.
