Holding accountable the mainstream and rightwing media. To defund, in measurable ways, the current media as it is controlled by billionaires that are propping up a vehemently anti-constitutional presidency.
Pinned
Here's the plan. We need to Starve The Media.

Billionaires control the narrative.

Truth isn't subjective.

Turn off FOX, CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, OANN and others. Make them answer to market forces for truth and honesty in reporting and not cow-towing to the incoming administration.
Powerful. Sound up.
Tariffs in 2018 caused a massive spike in farmer suicides because they had nowhere to sell their products.

Is this MAGA?

@schiff.senate.gov please vote no on cloture. Stop this shit from happening. This country can’t take the fundamental breakdown in rule of law that we are seeing.

Don’t be complicit.

@ozesurfer.bsky.social not for nothing but I’m not sure why you blocked @jdhattin.bsky.social we seem aligned on Trump being a fucking piece of shit hell bent on destroying the world.

But I am/ he is an American, so, respect either way.

This is why we need to Starve The Media.
This is the cowardice of The New York Times. Legacy media is failing.

These are delicious.

Starve the Media, not yourself.
Allow me to share this. Took about 5 pounds of bulk chicken breast and put it in a food processor added feta, sun dried tomato, onion, garlic, shallot, chive, bread crumbs, eggs, Worcestershire, egg whites, salt, and pepper.

100 gram patty. 124 calories. 18g protein. Works alone or mixed

This exactly why we are here today about to swear in a felon sex abuser.

CNBC should not be given any airtime or viewership.

Starve the FUCKING Media.
These motherfuckers on CNBC

Pres Biden gets the GDP down to 1.9% & Inflation down to 2% which is why the market is climbing

Then some dude on CNBC says "Trump tariffs will bring inflation"

But then he said, Biden wasn't good for business & trump is, so the "trump train is back"

Fucking tools

There's a reason we need to starve the media.
More of this shit? This was offensively stupid when they first ran it a few days ago.

Burn the fuckers to the ground. CNN is all in on the new Trump Dictator regime.

Starve the fucking media. Now. Shut jt off. Unsubscribe. Don’t help them make a dime.

Just a reminder to end your subscriptions to the major media outlets that have normalized the Trump era.

Any reporting that doesn't start with the fact that he's a convicted felon, is gaslighting you.

Do not give them money.
January 16, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Marc is right. Do NOT spend money on the major media outlets, they are driven by profit, not information. They do not have anyone's interest at heart but their own deep pocketbooks.

It's fine to feel bad for the people that work there, but they can leave and pursue real and meaningful work.
With the time and money you will save not reading The Washington Post, consider becoming a free subscriber or paying member to Democracy Docket.

It will not back down. It will never obey.

The media wanted this outcome. They are complicit with the end of our constitutional democracy, because the billionaires wanted more money to pay less taxes.

Which one is president now?
President Biden and President-elect Trump are both claiming credit for Israel and Hamas agreeing to a ceasefire deal in Gaza after the White House brought Trump’s Middle East envoy into negotiations that have dragged on for months.

This is the very thing we are talking about. They are trying to change the narrative and gaslight the population into believing he was never a drunk, never a rapist, and isn't a christian nationalist hell bent on taking over the military for the white race... While drunk.
All this positive press coverage and posting about Hegseth is super-duper organic. Everything loves him now. Nothing suss.

Remember these facts.

This is what they will want you to forget.
I’m proud of President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the entire Middle East diplomatic team who worked tirelessly since Oct 7 2023 to secure a peace deal, end a war, and return hostages to Israel and other nations.

Historical fact

This is an example of monied interests getting in the way of journalism.

If these 400 staffers meant it, they should leave and let management rot.

What we can do as individuals is to not support the Washington Post in any way. Don’t link the articles. Don’t subscribe. Cancel subscriptions.
The Washington Post, under the leadership of former Murdoch henchman Will Lewis, is a deeply troubled institution, as this @davidfolkenflik.bsky.social thread reveals

Is it time to starve them?
I’ve said this before but…

How mainstream media goes bankrupt, morally, intellectually, and in the old fashioned dollars-and-cents-sense:

Gradually, then suddenly.
CNN actually putting its name on this "reporting" that is an ad for a beer company https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/15/food/coors-light-mondays-light-name/index.html

More of this please.
They are trying to shame us into getting ratings.

Starve The Media.
January 15, 2025 at 5:44 AM
The plan should be to hold traditional media’s feet to the fire.

MAGA won the moment by being backed by the world’s billionaires that control all the media outlets.

Contrary narratives that happened to be true were never brought up to counter misinformation.

Maybe we need to…
"Hoping that Trump fails is not a plan. We must develop and foster new movements, structures, tactics, platforms and leaders to oppose Trump and articulate a positive vision. In most democratic political systems, this is referred to as the opposition."

Where? Show the stories in question. All we see is placation of fascists. NYT and WaPo constantly normalize Trump and his cronies.

It might be time to Starve The Media.
FYI, folks from Bluesky. Reporters at The NYT, among other news organizations, are now generating a giant wave of accountability stories about the new Trump era. Reading these stories, sharing them, is a form of accountability as well. It is a form of participatory democracy too. Substance matters.
