So which one is it? Connect via IST or direct, or both? If via IST they will need Turkish traffic rights, are they willing to hand this to AirAsiaX at the expense of TK?

There's something very on brand for Dublin about this. Building something as a temporary stopgap, putting 'temporary' ("pro tempore") in the name, doing nothing more for 200 years, and then eventually going "OK lads let's just stick with this one cos we're clearly never going to build the other one"

Pope Leo XIV has designated St Mary's Pro Cathedral in Dublin as the city's official Catholic Cathedral, becoming the first in the capital for 500 years.

As we are talking mobile lounges at IAD, here's Charles and Ray Eames' concept film for the lounges in 1958. Produced for their friend architect Eero Saarinen who designed IAD. youtu.be/FL-mjc1sgX4?...

They are certainly part of Saarinen's vision and thus part and parcel of IAD and should remain, maybe as a static display. Are they practical or comfortable? No.
Will I miss Dulles Airport's mobile lounges? Yes.

Do I think they should go? Yes.

“It would be fun to keep a set of docks attached to the terminal with a few mobile lounges."

I've never understood the numbering of platforms in French railway stations (letters, numbers, sometimes not in order)

And now I have watched a video about it... and I understand even less
