I’m ngl that Venn diagram almost near-perfectly resembles a circle lmao, but that’s also bc there’s a rather wide range of scenarios & kinks that fall under both. there definitely isn’t complete overlap tho, as my reading interests tend to span far outside my writing

I’m ngl that Venn diagram almost near-perfectly resembles a circle lmao, but that’s also bc there’s a rather wide range of scenarios & kinks that fall under both. there definitely isn’t complete overlap tho, as my reading interests tend to span far outside my writing

I feel like many people don't know how hard it already is to be disabled and try to get these accomodations. And that adding more and more barriers probably isn't an answer to anything.
Trust me, if you go from able bodied to disabled it's a nightmare world.

Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

ok so i actually know somebody non-disabled who does this and i can tell you: if someone's determined to cheat the system, NOTHING is going to stop them. able-bodied cheaters have the energy to jump through all the hoops. making things harder only gatekeeps accommodations from people who need it.
