Running a hand through his hair, Eloy blinked a few times and lowered his sword. A gleam almost seemed to fade from his eyes—or maybe it was just the light of the moon shifting from behind them. Eloy sighed and finally swung the balcony door open.

By the way Cecyl was pushing against his face to squirm away from him, he could only assume the reason for the latter. Though, that gold crown he had come used to spotting against his dark curls in crowds held up well. It stayed atop Cecyl's messy blond-white hair, even when he sat up to grab him, tilted just slightly askew.
