Refusing to use Whatsapp or Messenger in solidarity with people facing persecution is apparently silly according to my friends. I'm being selfish because it's inconvenient. Not sure how to deal with this from people I care about.

UK Gov ignoring devolved health departments and imposing Westminster control is just one reason to sign this petition. The other is think of the kids who are pawns in a dangerous political game.

A voice from Syria that we should probably listen to before making judgement. A lot has happened since the Assad family took control and brutalised Syrian people and right now they deserve some time to celebrate and then mourn. They need time to agree a new normal for them.
Yes person on the internet Syrians are aware that everything isn’t perfect and that there are challenges ahead. I think they didn’t need you to tell them that given that it’s been 5 decades of tyranny and no country ever emerged from tyranny without challenges ahead.

Comrades, it’s not all doom and gloom, there are bright spots in the world.
Telangana, India, opens 33 clinics dedicated to transgender healthcare, offering hormone therapy and pre-surgical care. The state also plans to induct trans people into police roles, pushing for greater inclusion.
