Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously

But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state

Keep that same energy of support for her

An internal memo, prepared before Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk was detained by ICE, raises doubts about the Trump administration’s claims that she supports Hamas.

Trump has been racking up some procedural "wins" at the Supreme Court and the answer for why is simple: John Roberts is a feckless coward. He's like a cop in Uvalde, cowering outside waiting for the shooting to stop, instead of doing his job.

Whatever fraud there is in Medicaid is largely on the provider side, not beneficiaries. It's health insurance, its not cash.

"Fraud" here means going to a doctor if you are unemployed.
Mike Johnson on Medicaid: "What we've talked about is returning work requirements ... you return the dignity of work to young men who need to be out working instead of playing video games all day. We have a lot of fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicaid."

The four house democrats who voted for the SAVE Act: Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Henry Cuellar (Texas) and Ed Case (Hawaii).

I wonder if Glusenkamp Perez knows this bill would probably strip her right to vote since “Glusenkamp” isn’t on her birth certificate.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking education, science, museums, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

It's Fascism 101.
