I worked at IBM, and we spent years leading up to it fixing things so that shit did not hit the fan. Thank an IT professional.

People feared the computer glitch would mean "the end of the world as we know it." Thankfully, Y2K didn't live up to the hype after years and billions of dollars were spent on painstaking preparation.
Y2K seems like a joke now, but in 1999 people were really freaking out

I knew the Gaiman article was going to talk about the sexual assaults. What I didn't realize was how deeply some of their experiences matched my own. Off to play some more PowerWash Simulator for cleansing of the brain palette.

At this point, call them out. I'm tired of the Left being silent in the wake of bullshit. Sarah needed people behind her and you're the only one I saw saying anything. That's bullshit. I know it's not cool to quote Hamilton anymore but "If you stand for nothing, Burr, what'll you fall for."
There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn’t, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn’t much space for it. I think it’s holding us back.

I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

I had normal paps every year till I was 45 so I don't have to do that till I'm 50 again. Thankfully. The last doc scraped around pretty badly.
same, they are bothering me more every year. I gotta go see a lady doctor on the 2nd.

"If a woman doesn't look woman enough to a Republican, they want to be able to inspect your genitals to use a bathroom? It's disgusting.

Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC

Fucking this. Stand up for something.
I keep thinking about those congresspeople kneeling in the rotunda wearing kente cloth scarves, very performative. There has been no loud, visible, unified support for Sarah McBride from the democrats. It’s a real disgrace. That is your colleague! They are bullying her in your faces. And silence!

They have new 3D tech that doesn't have to squash them anymore! Still hate my boobs though.
I have a mammogram tomorrow. You'd think they'd figure out a better way than squashing your tits until they're pancakes to figure this shit out, but no.

Voodoo is steeped in sexually harassing its employees. Don't bother.
Reading how Dallas is going to get some world-famous restaurants and turns out it's Nando's, Jollibee's, Wagamama's, and Portillo's (all basically fast food) plus Voodoo Doughnut, which is a highly overrated chain that makes stunt donuts.
