The government has transitioned to a Mafia state very similar to Putin's Russia without any guardrails whatsoever in place to restrain its grasp on power. Oligarchs control the media, AI will un-employ millions and the military will bend its knee as well. Other than that, it's all good.

The Mamdani Trump event is possibly Trump's attempt to appear to support the "populist" agenda that MAGA was vaguely thinking he might be (hah!) way back when. He's tanking hard and getting desperate. In any case, he's always self-serving and never not so.

Are the Democrats on TV talking to the team (us) or are they talking to the media peeps? I think the GOP, like football coaches often do, use media to talk past the media during interviews. That's what Kash and RFK are doing, I think. They sound idiotic to me, but they're not talking to me.

President Trump said Tuesday that he had struck a trade agreement with Indonesia, calling it a "great deal for everybody" on social media. Under the deal, U.S. exports to Indonesia would face no tariffs, while Indonesian goods would be charged a tariff of 19% when shipped to the U.S.
