The government has transitioned to a Mafia state very similar to Putin's Russia without any guardrails whatsoever in place to restrain its grasp on power. Oligarchs control the media, AI will un-employ millions and the military will bend its knee as well. Other than that, it's all good.

Gulf Coast refineries are built to process heavy, thick crude. That's the kind that comes out of Venezuela. He's probably ok with everything.

Clearly it's for the oil. Greenland next for minerals? Who's to stop them? Denmark? All pretense of working with others is gone. America alone. King Dollar and nukes make that possible.
