Truly. If people want to be respected when they’re dead, they should be respectable when they’re alive.

If women submitting to men was a natural way of being, they would not have needed laws, religion & violence to get them to do it.

Went to a newish local plant shop yesterday and loved it. I signed up for their rewards program and today I got an update text that began "hi, this is your plant enabler..."

I feel like they get me.

Today I completed a task that I have been putting off for months. It took less than 10 minutes.

Will I learn anything from this? Of course not.

Everyone seems very worried about "Gosh, well what do we tell the transphobic people to get them to vote for Democrats?"

Tell them to get the fuck over it. Tell them, straight to their faces, "I feel embarrassed for you that this is a thing you are whining about."

I just signed the closing paperwork to sell my parent's house, then sat in my car and cried. No one has ever owned that home except my parents. Mine and my brother's handprints are in the concrete driveway. My dad built the patio cover that's still there. My mom planted the trees.

This is hard.

"I didn't vote for" you did. Sorry. You did. Should have listened to the woke libtards instead of your roided out imaginary friends who told you kids were pooping in kitty litter at school

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.

The next administrator who sends me a “be patient—this is business as usual” email gets this piece in reply. Worth a read.
Having watched with growing alarm the developments of the last 24 and 36 hours in Washington, I thought I’d take a stab at how the US media would cover this story if it was happening in a foreign country. Here’s that story that should be written this weekend: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/musk-s-jun...
Musk's Junta Establishes Him as Head of Government
Imagining how we'd cover overseas what's happening to the U.S. right now

The Tulsa Zoo posted photos of a bunch of animals playing in the snow, except for the snow leopards who are huddled in their den, lol.

I'm going to try to make a cherry pie from scratch for Thanksgiving this week. I love baking and this is a new adventure.

I also know myself pretty well, so there is a frozen cherry pie on deck in case this is a disaster, lol.

I had to enforce a consequence for my 3-year-old tonight and he immediately started shouting for daddy. Strong "can I speak to your manager" vibes.

Highlight of my week: took my son to the zoo and we saw the new baby tiger cubs cuddling with their mama.

I finally made the move over here, and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner! I've already found some of the scientists and science communicators that I missed from the old days at the other place.
