Do not cross the picket line--no Starbucks (even from a store not currently striking) until there's a reasonable contract with the workers whose labor makes the money.
Day THIRTY-NINE of our national ULP strike - and baristas are fired up, united, and taking action.

Our demands are clear: Starbucks needs to stop union busting and finalize a contract with the pay, hours, and protections we need to succeed. #NoContractNoCoffee

really is incredible how often "men are having a problem, let's fix it using someone else's entire life" comes up. does the institute for family studies understand that children are whole complete human beings whose existence cannot be used as a coping mechanism for their fathers' anxieties? (no)

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

What a terrible choice for the health of Central Washingtonians, and a guaranteed future drag on the rest of the state when we need to take care of our folks with advanced tooth decay and associated higher risk of heart disease and systemic infections. The citizens of Pasco don't want this, either!
After hundreds of citizens and dentists said Pasco, Washington should keep fluoride, and a survey showing most residents want to keep it, the city council voted last night to remove it anyway: www.tri-cityherald.com/news/politic...
What Pasco decided after months-long debate on keeping fluoride in its water
Fluoride was first added in Pasco 25+ years ago when the county was one of the worst in WA for tooth decay.

Harrell is a tremendously wealthy 67-year-old man who has been rich for decades. His family was working-class when he was a kid. His dad retired as a top executive at City Light. Whenever he talks about his upbringing, though, he describes a life of abject poverty so bad you wouldn't even believe.

'In limiting spending on long-term housing to just 30 percent of the $3.5 billion in aid — from about 90 percent this year — the Trump plan would deal a crippling blow to a movement called Housing First."
This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

No contract, no coffee! Store partners work their butts off for little pay and very inconsistent health benefits, while the CEO commutes via company jet, wears $250k wrist watches, and has his lackeys lie about everything. NEVER CROSS A PICKET LINE.

Usefull! And this also applies to Washington.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.
