This entire 'debate' is so maddening. We have been promised that a groundswell of rushed, dissatisfied detransitioners was about to emerge for nearly a decade.
Not only have they never materialized, but academic research continues to show small numbers, long assessments and miniscule regret rates.

Wasn't too strategic to vote for this shit, was it, Marie? Fix your mistakes. Your strategy has been to sacrifice the freedom of your constituents, and for what? Re-election? You should run as a Republican, because the rest of us can read and don't like cop murder or strip-searching kids.

it's not just that they're supporting out-of-town ICE shock troops against their own community; it's that they're being paid with money you would rather have spent on buses and schools and parks and social services. I feel like in the year of our Mamdani 2026 that's an argument we can push harder
