im sorry to be so divisive and partisan but i dont think the government should be inventing a criminal history out of thin air to justify sending someone to a concentration camp in a foreign country

Sen. Chris Van Hollen flew to El Salvador to see Kilmar Abrego Garcia—and was shut out.
No access. No answers.
El Salvador won’t even let a U.S. senator confirm he’s alive.
This isn’t policy. It’s a cover-up.

The government acknowledges that it ripped our client Mahmoud Khalil from his home and his family solely because of his political beliefs and expression.

Ideas aren’t illegal. Mahmoud must be released.
Pressed for evidence against Mahmoud Khalil, government cites its power to deport people for beliefs
The U.S. government has submitted a two-page memo from Secretary of State Marco Rubio as its main evidence in its deportation case against Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.
