So many of us live near the M50 but as it's costly, driving through town and nearby villages can be more tempting.

We're advocating making the M50 free to use

It'll make it easier on people's pockets + it'll free up the city centre and nearby villages from dense traffic.
It costs money to drive on the motorway, but it's free to drive through the city centre or residential suburbs. A lot of people choose the free option, and that makes our lives more dangerous, louder, more polluted. Let's make the M50 free.

Twenty-one years ago today the @europeangreens.eu were founded in Rome. We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’re still going strong.

From @greenpartyie.bsky.social, thank you Trevor Sargent, Mary White, Chris O’Leary, Heidi Bedell, Nuala Ahern, Steve Rawson, and all who took part in our journey.

Data centres are often blamed for Ireland’s energy use, but they’re not the biggest users—transport takes that spot. And the highest carbon emissions? Agriculture.
Let’s focus on real solutions across all sectors, not just easy targets. 💚

Bad driving isn’t just careless—it’s anti-social behaviour. Speeding, close passes, and reckless driving put lives at risk, yet we’re expected to accept it as normal. We shouldn’t.
Roads are for everyone, and dangerous driving deserves real anger and action. 💚

Just to say I've spoken to DCC area manager re: the destruction of Mountpleasant Square wall in Ranelagh by a driver last night and they'll be working with parks to look at reconstruction and making the area safe. The wall will take a bit longer to reconstruct. Any questions let me know.

Observing speed limits isn’t just about rules—it’s #SocialBehaviour. It shows care for others on the road and makes our streets safer for all.
When we drive at safe speeds, we’re looking out for each other. 💚🚗

Lower speed limits mean fewer deaths and serious injuries—it’s that simple.
Safer roads protect everyone, whether walking, cycling, or driving.
This is a step towards calmer, more liveable communities. 💚 Let’s make it work.

Is migration just a junior minister portfolio? It's challenging, will it get the attention it needs?
As Roderic suggests, it deserves a higher priority, human lives and rights are at stake. Let’s address this with the seriousness it demands. 💚

We know historical reasons, but there’s no excuse for inaction now.

Speed limits are not "against" anyone, they are for everyone!
Much of the debate around Friday's rural local road #speedlimit change focuses on reducing deaths, it’s also about making roads safer for everyone. On my 80km/h road by a canal, walkers & cyclists are rare it’s too dangerous. Dropping to 60km/h would cut stopping distances and improve safety for all

A powerful lesson—what do we do when injustice doesn’t directly impact us? Staying silent keeps the status quo.
Real change happens when we stand up, speak out, and take action, even when it’s not our fight—because justice should matter to all of us. 💚
