one of the hazards of trying to buy inexpensive film cameras on eBay: listings that say “35mm TESTED WORKS” and then you look up the model and find that had they tested it with FILM, they would have noticed it was actually an APS camera 🫠

one of the annoying parts of looking for expired film is that 12 exposure trial rolls used to exist, which I’m sure was useful when any Walgreens could develop your film for cheap, but wildly unpractical in 2025 when labs charge $15+ flat rate per roll (not including shipping) 🫠

hopefully I’m not treading too far into spoiler territory for #WakeUpDeadMan but the part where Father Jud basically says “I didn’t kill him but I hated him and maybe that’s the same thing” might be one of the most real portrayals of Catholic guilt I’ve seen in any media ever
