If you want or need SNAP benefits, literally the only barrier should be...signing up.

"But what about fraud?" My sibling in red, white, and blue, THE PENTAGON HASN'T PASSED AN AUDIT IN YEARS AND MONEY IS FAKE. I don't care if too many people have food assistance.

They can buy what their kids will eat, or what makes them happy, or what they crave, or what will last a long time on the shelf, or what’s easy for whoever will be home to get on the table, or whatever else they think they need. And what they buy is none of my damn business.

People should use their SNAP benefits for whatever they think they need. Both because any effort you make to micromanage purchases is inefficient and cumbersome and because people who need help aren’t obligated to perform for or satisfy others in order to eat.

I'm not a biblical scholar, but I think "Don't take the Lord's name in vain" is less about yelling "Jesus effing Christ!" when you stub your toe, and more about calling yourself a "Christian" while starving the hungry, denying medicine to the sick, and being violently hostile to immigrants.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

What is deemed to be “crime” has more to do with criminalizing specific populations i.e. Black and poor people (and not others). Even when something is labeled a “crime,” cops choose to focus enforcement on some while ignoring others, e.g. shoplifting baby formula is punished; wage theft is ignored.

I strongly dislike when people find it weird that you make a big deal about things. You are allowed to make a big deal about things. Big things, small things. Things you may have absolutely no control over. If the sky is allowed to crack with lightning and thunder surely you can too

Yes. The litmus test has to be "all people are people, and equal to me and you." This includes Palestinian people and trans people: there is only one answer: *yes.*

All counterarguments are saying in effect "no, they're not people, and they are not equal to me and you." Nonstarter.

An AI cannot eliminate the complexity of living as a person, nor would it be good if it did. If you never struggled to make a decision, you would essentially be an AI yourself — suck up the inputs, spit out the response, execute. Repeat until you run out of days. Fuck that for real.

Microfiber cloth alone usually does the job unless there's oil/actual dirt. If needed, I use a couple drops of Dawn and hot water, dab with cloth, finish with a swipe of alcohol and let air dry.
Glasses people, do you use the wipes or the spray to clean your glasses?

Mr. Robot had me hooked from the very 1st episode. Legendary piece of work.
The USA Network had some fuego shows in the 2010s outside of just WWE

Psych, Burn Notice, Suits, Mr.Robot

Ferguson was really an eye opener for me. I was watching live streams on Twitter seeing multiple people from multiple angles document something in real time and then in the news the next day it would say the complete opposite of what I saw. truly rewrote my lifelong neural pathways
i remember watching the ferguson protest live and seeing cops deliberately escalate when the crowd was entirely peaceful. told a friend; they couldn't believe it. hope people see and believe their own eyes now.
Remarkable.

MSNC: "I want to reiterate this has been 100% peaceful."

Seconds later, LA County sheriffs start firing on the crowd.

Yet again, "law enforcement" deliberately escalated.

If something happened in America, it's American history. That includes the parts people don't want to think about. "Knowing we stole land from Native Americans/stole people for the slave trade/stole property from incarcerated Japanese citizens makes me feel icky" is not a counterpoint to reality.

Return of the Mack... and its not eem close.
Today is about a song you never want to hear again.
Maybe because you've heard it too much. Maybe because something about the track just annoys you.

Whatever the reason behind it, for Day 10 of the #BlackMusicMonthChallenge, share a song you would yeet (hurl, toss, etc) into the sun if you could.

I feel like this is cheating or too obvious but:
Whoot There It Is by 95 South and Whoomp! There It Is by Tag Team
Some songs sound like they belong in the same family, even if they're not by the same artist. It might be the subject matter, or just the feel, but something makes them seem like they could be some kin.

For Day 6 of the #BlackMusicMonthChallenge, name 2 songs that sound like they could be cousins.
