“It should be illegal for you to be mean to me and legal for me to kill you” is basically the Republican platform.
All the Republican examples of "violent" rhetoric from Democrats is someone like Tim Walz saying "these people are assholes, you should be rude to them" and all the Republican equivalents are a guy with a top-secret security clearance tweeting "I will personally kill Ilhan Omar with a gun"

NEW: @nbcnews.com reports that an immigration judge dismissed the asylum case of Andry Hernandez, the innocent man currently imprisoned without trial in El Salvador pursuant to a deal between the Trump admin and Nayib Bukele. His lawyers argue that this is an attempt to "complete the disappearance."

This hits home for me. Words that literally came out of my 17 y.o. mouth to my class counselor who suggested I major in engineering, "What's an engineer?"

America First - unless we're helping the very people that would actually make America First.
A Logan Square elementary's science program was abruptly cut after losing its grant from the federal gov, blindsiding families+program leaders who worked for years to make it a reality. The engineering program was geared toward helping Latino children learn w/ their parents.

This moment when the penny drops that trying to implement bathroom bans is an impossibility for the former Tory Chief Secretary Simon Clarke is delicious.

How do we know Pope Francis was a decent person and a step forward for LGBTQ Catholics? People at our mom's Catholic Church who voted for Lauren Boebert and Donald Trump kept telling her how awful a pope he was.

The Trib Editorial Board recently published an opinion piece against lowering the speed limit in Chicago. The piece skims over the lifesaving benefits of a lower speed limit and overlooks that this approach has worked in other cities. Here's our response. www.chicagotribune.com/2025/01/20/l...
Letters: A 25 mph speed limit is a proven solution to lowering the risk of pedestrian deaths
The toll of speeding is tremendous. The trauma ripples into our neighborhoods.
