I broke my hand on a bully of man-mountains face, and the docs at that same hospital tried to send me home, to save my life, they said. They respected my wish not leave my team weakened by an early DEROS. No Purple Hearts; just two small above and beyond combat citations, and Combat Infantry Bdg.
Yeah my dad doesn’t talk about it much, and I only met some people from his third tour when I was pretty young so know some about that.

IF Repubs do NOT negotiate to return the Obama Care subsidies, the red states will be hit the hardest. They have already told MTG and Josh Hawley that they better NOT let those subsidies end. Steve Bannon says such a lapse will turn the House and Senate blue, and get trump and staff impeached.
I hope you are right. But so many on the left are so pissed with this capitulation that I am afraid blame for skyrocketing insurance premiums will be split between Rs and Ds (maybe not equally, but still…). As in “yes, Rs voted NO on subsidies, but Dems didn’t fight when they could”.

I agree! I hear your pain and frustration. I feel so betrayed. We had it, they were breaking and these 8 thought they were doing us a favor, we got NOTHING. They could have demanded the lady from Arizona be sworn in and didn't even get THAT!

So damn much trauma. And also in Massachusetts, not far from where I sit right now, a 13yo was abducted by ICE and sent out of state. Now he will “voluntarily self deport”. I’ve been trying to amplify this horrific story and would love it if you could help me do so… bsky.app/profile/ruth...
