The food im most excited to eat this Thanksgiving is my grandma's pumpkin mochi! Its made with glutinous rice flour with a super bouncy and chewy texture that makes it fun to eat. Sometimes she will also fill it with marshmallows like a sweet potato casserole its so good @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

A lot of people dislike vegetables because of their taste and resort to deep frying to eat them which is very unhealthy. Deep fried foods should be eaten in moderation. Roasting is a good idea that people should try for better tasting veggies! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Roasting is an easy way to make vegetables taste richer and sweeter while preserving their nutritional value. Toss diced veggies in olive oil and season; spread on a baking sheet and place in a hot oven to turn simple produce into something you actually want to eat. #RealWorldNutrition

I chose this article bc its very clear and concise about how much of what food groups kids should eat. It's also split into groups by age which is helpful bc obviously a 5yr old needs different amounts of food than a 10yr old. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Consult with a real dietitian or a credible source when seeking health advice. Most of the time you do not need these supplements that influencers are pushing, especially the cute packaged ones. Usually your over the counter gel/pill vitamins with a good diet is enough #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Lack of time to plan, shop, prepare & cook is my biggest barrier to healthy eating. I work 26-42 hours a week while also having in person classes so it doesn't leave much time for myself. Most of the time 1/3 of my meals are UPFs and/or cheap takeout #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Rice is essential to so many ethnic diets! Ive seen people label it as a "bad carb" but it is a staple whole food and our bodies need carbs for energy. The countries with longest lifespans all have rice heavy diets. Theres always more to a bad diet than just one food #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Food is a universal and fundamental right! Attributing it to good or bad behavior can lead to unhealthy relationships with eating. Its important recognize it as a necessity to stay healthy rather than a reward or punishment @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
PSA: You don’t have to earn your food. It’s not a reward for being “good” or punishment for being “bad.”
