Its so important to foster a safe environment for our patients! Im also very grateful for how this class has not only taught us the facts but also how to have sensitive and considerate conversations about health/nutrition @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Hi Joy! I also love mashed potatoes, they have beenn a safe comfort food for me ever since I was a kid. I always load it up with garlic and butter though so it may not be as healthy as some people enjoy it lol @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Hi Huda! this is a great article about childrens nutrition. Using simple but clear language is so important when you are trying to teach the general public so that there is no miscommunication @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I agree small steps are so important! Your body and mind need time to adjust so its unrealistic too uproot your habits in one go and more often than not its such a miserable process that it makes people give up. A simple change at a time is still good progress @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Its so interesting that after spending a long time overweight, it alters your body to fight back when you try to lose weight. It makes the health journey much harder and those who are making changes should be applauded for their efforts @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

A lot of socialization involves eating and its hard to make healthy choices when everyone else is eating unhealthy foods and they always look/smell great so its hard to resist. Not ordering your own and just sharing with the table is a great strategy for moderation #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Zinc and selenium are crucial minerals for the immune system! I think people know more about vitamins than they do minerals but they are equally important micronutrients that support the body. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Ive seen the carnivore diet around too but i cant imagine eating less fruits and bread. I wonder how many carnivore diet followers have scurvy from the lack of vitamin C #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social
