HAPPY FOUR SEASONS TOTAL LANDSCAPING DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE
November 7, 2025 at 6:44 PM
I started posting #oneweirdthing from my bookshelves every day on IG. Today I’m sharing two because I forgot to actually post them here on Bsky.

A Dall sheep scrotum bag and a Megalonyx jeffersonii claw that sadly got broken in a dusting accident.

I found this stick on a camping trip and hauled it around with me for four days before I got home. I’m so proud of it. #sticknation

Ready for some new adventures! New (to me) Nemo Dragonfly 2P so there will be space for dogs! The REI boxes have a new Astra PFD and some electrolytes for my first ever wilderness river trip.

I read this book when I was 13 and it gave me such bad nightmares that I’m still scared of Neanderthals. It’s hilarious and I can’t control it. I’m going to try rereading the book 28 years later as an experiment. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get worse. 😂

One easy way to know if you should support cuts to Medicaid is to ask yourself if you want your nearest hospital to be open or closed next time you need it. Then repeat the question substituting “Emergency Department,” “Trauma Center,” “Stroke Center,” “Cardiac Cath Lab,” etc.

Translation: We want to cut Medicaid.
REPORTER: Can you say unequivocally that down the line, there won't be cuts to Medicaid programs?

MIKE JOHNSON: Medicaid is hugely problematic because it has a lot of fraud, waste, and abuse.

STOP CONCEDING ANYTHING AT ALL TO ELON MUSK
Listen – it’s not nuts to ask federal employees to report what they’re working on. My staff has to do weekly reports too.

But the WAY Musk is doing this? What’s he gonna do, read 2 million emails? This is just not serious stuff.

Next to my headphones, in my purse, you’ll see two individually packed migraine pills, a container of tapestry needles, a little bag of stitch markers and a tiny measuring tape, a birthday card from my bff, and the bone I found on Georges Cuvier’s grave in the Pére-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.

Texas Representative John Bucy talking to us about the case of Robert Roberson. Representative Bucy fought hard and saved Robert’s life, almost at the last minute. Change can happen, even in Texas.

The goal is to ruin the NP and then parcel it off and sell it to billionaires where they will privatize the land and restrict access.

This is incredibly beautiful.
I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️‍🌈💖

I know everyone hates The Times but opening this with "Even if anyone had elected Elon Musk to anything, the past week would still be one of the most serious examples of executive branch malfeasance in American history." is a punch.

Want to share some points from the @indivisible.org action call earlier tonight.

Most urgent: Contact your senators (Dem AND GOP) and tell them to VOTE NO on Russell Vought (architect of Project 2025) running the Office of Management and Budget (the same one that was all over the news this week).

I started watching #ThePitt and I gotta say, I love this show. I am not a dr or nurse, but have hospital admin experience. They're talking about sepsis bundles and HCAHPs. No one is cutting LVAD cords. UHmazing.
