Which is why we're not watching or recapping. People are slow to give up what they want--I get that. But this I can do, and frankly so could everyone. Imagine if the players refused to take the field, both sides. Or if the crowd didn't show up or tune in. He's a plague. Treat him like one
Super Bowl fifty nein.

Absolutely insane. The only reason to do this is to destroy our economy and government.

I wouldn't watch that trmpy show for anything. Screw the NFL for humoring his bigotry
Want to see advertisers lose MILLIONS this Sunday? A record-setting low for viewers during the Super Bowl would do that.

Money talks and bullshit walks.

The Dems inability to understand the moment does not get less anxiety inducing. How does a federally elected official let a rent-a-cop stop him from the business of his office? Farcical.
This is not a U.S. Marshal, Federal Protective Service, or any other federal law enforcement officer. This is a private security guard from Triple Canopy. He has no authority to block members of Congress who have oversight of the EPA from entering the building.
We were just denied entrance into the EPA after asking to meet with a DOGE representative. More to come.

Yes, HuffPost has been body snatched
After 11 years, my time at HuffPost is coming to an end tomorrow.

Last week, I learned HuffPost would be ending its dedicated coverage of energy and climate change.

So, I took a buyout.

As if scraped right out of my heart
Fiction, especially writing it, makes you PAY ATTENTION to the truth and the bloody realities of the world, even if you're writing about elves. Writers already know this. It's why we're often sad. So, when someone says you shouldn't be focusing on your writing, you can just lol at that person.

This is what’s happening. Trump isn’t doing any of this. He is their patsy. He’s like the Governor in Blazing Saddles. Put the orders in front of him, sign them, look at boobs and play golf. They are destroying the government on purpose. That is literally the goal.

Exactly like that
Like Jeffrey Dahmer policed his own murders?
The White House said Elon Musk will determine if there are conflicts of interest between his work reviewing federal spending and his overlapping empire of six companies

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Great news everyone. The NFL has ended racism, solving our problems.

if the president can say “i don’t like the department of energy,” and within a week it’s closed, then the constitution means nothing, and the president’s entire claim to power is the loyalty of the military. either he is constrained by the constitution or he’s a dictator, there isn’t a middle ground

These are legislatively created departments. They can only “legally” be dismantled legislatively. The executive branch has begun an unconstitutional power grab. By the time this is addressed in the courts, the damage done will be astronomical.

This is a constitutional crisis. It is a coup.

Of course natural stupidity admires artificial intelligence.
It’s a lesser point but the idea that AI will immediately prove a useful tool for streamlining government is by itself such a ludicrous tell. It’s a separate indicator of the staggering overconfidence these children have.
