It says something about the history of photography and the practices engaged in by photography editors that more of us haven't seen the full context of the landscape around Mount Rushmore.
When you view Mount Rushmore against the background of the sacred Black Hills site which it desecrated, you realize how hideous and pathetic it is. Truly a vulgar monstrosity.

I’ve noticed a lot of stories and media outlets, even @npr.org seem to be putting out lots of “unity content”. Lots of “put your politics aside for the holidays”, lots of “find common ground.” I’m sorry, but no. I know my worth & if your politics don’t find me worthy, you can fuck all the way off.

One of the narrower victories of the last 100 years of American politics, and any journalist or politico using the term mandate probably needs to retire from their profession immediately.

It should be emphasized just how obscene the Gaetz nom is. He's unqualified, unfit, & was recently investigated for sex trafficking. He faces accusations of paying for sex & sexual misconduct w/ a minor. That there's even a chance he gets confirmed as the top law enforcement official is shameful.
