Itinerant skeptic, yet somehow hopeful for humanity.
Abigail Jackson said in a statement: “President Trump has assembled the most talented and impressive administration in history..." huh.

Why is there still controversy over two consenting adults marrying? Any. Two. Consenting. Adults. This is not hard. This is common sense and common decency.

Everyone in the administration should get a participation trophy.

The only thing I like about the dark days of the approaching winter is the arrival of the season's stouts. Cheers!
Poured myself a Vocation Brewery Chocolate Stout 5.9% abv
It has a hint of chocolate and that’s sufficient as it doesn’t dominate the stout flavours.
Bought a bunch of similar at the local Morrisons. Pleasantly surprised at the selection of stouts tbh

100% idiotic garbage.
Lee Zeldin will also be investigating alien abduction incidents, the dangers of fairy dust pollution, and reports of marauding gangs of young male unicorns.

EPA Commissioner Lee Zeldin announces his agency is launching a major investigation into the right-wing conspiracies about chemtrails and weather manipulation to get to the bottom of it.

Isn't that a bit redundant? Chocolate is inherently sexual.

So instead of letting someone purchase things, work, and pay taxes, we'll spend gobs of money rounding them up, holding them and then sending them somewhere else. Sounds like a plan.
For folks asking if they've made it *inside* a Home Depot yet as the business has clearly just continued letting agents do whatever they want in their lots, the answer is yes. This is from yesterday in Evanston.

Ah, but they're still all over southern California, in every shade imaginable.
You hardly ever see these things in the wild any more.

Sometimes I think it's deliberate; sometimes I think it's ignorance. But at no time is this the way for a country's leader to act.

That looks tasty. Care to hop on a plane to the U.S. with a case? Oh, wait, that's not advisable these days.

Going to school in the 60s and 70s, religious freedom never came up in class. Sometimes, as kids, we'd debate it during our free time. We didn't need permission; we didn't need "rights" handed down from the adults. All we needed was no pressure.

Since the 80s we've had a huge talent rush into finance, leaving us to import our engineers and physicians. Yeah, and that works until it doesn't.
America’s worst capitalistic instincts have many roots. But elite colleges—and their nudging of students toward big-money, high-status careers—is undeniably one of them.

"I want only the most ambulatory people with the luxury of the most flexible of schedules to vote [for me]." ftfy. Oh, and we'll use only one of the most manipulable of systems, the paper ballot.
Donald Trump is once again threatening to issue an executive order targeting voting. This is an effort to subvert the Constitution and the 2026 election, which grants states and Congress but not the president power to regulate federal elections.

If he does this, we will sue and we will win (again).

We're still a couple of months away from cooler temps in southern California, but y'all are making me stout-thirsty.
Really strong addition to Dog's Window's Crossbreed oatmeal stout series, sort of a dark toffee feel which blends brilliantly with the roasty element. FinIshes with a sort of barrel aged flavour. #BskyBeer

I feel that I need to embark on a world beer tour. Wales may be a good start.
This is a brand new brewery to me and, if this Farmers Dark Ale Oatmeal Stout is anything to go by, I'll be needing more.

Lovely stuff. Brecon, apparently

Hypothesizing, testing and reproducing results is so tedious. How much more efficient to simply pull the truth out of one's lower orifice.

I've been reading up on quantum bio lately and it felt like a bit of a glitch in the matrix when RFJ Jr mentioned mitochondria in his ridiculous airport pediatrician cosplay rant from a few days ago.

That's because there's erm... coherence... between ~this~ and a particular corner of quantum bio. 🧪

How about we scrap the ineffective income tax for a consumption tax that protects the poor, bolsters the middle class and taxes the rest effectively enough to finance a government that is not too large to be unwieldy, yet not too small to execute its promise to the people? I do love my fever dream.
This is the one Labor Day graph that tells you the actual problem in America.

The problem is not that America lacks abundance.

The problem is that a handful of oligarchs are hoarding America’s abundance.
