Think I judged S2 too harshly on the first watch. It's got a lot going for it, the kids are still kids, underutilized Sean Astin, establishing Steve as a fan favourite
Re watching Stranger Things S1 and this show was really made to be a cult favourite not a cornerstone of the Netflix brand

Important to note; Japan has way stricter laws around laying people off. Actual protections from its government that force companies to do things like have execs take pay cuts before doing a mass layoff. The solution to this problem is not a “good” CEO. It’s systemic and complete reform.
I remember a time Nintendo leader Satoru Iwata took a paycut himself to prevent laying off developers. They really don't make the like they used to.

If we have a high employment rate we should have a good tax base to fund dignified unemployment benefits for the "very low" numbers of unemployed people. Unless of course the unemployment rate only appears low because of poverty wages and other obfuscating factors like bogus self-employment... 🤔
